Established in 1999 as a European division of the Katsushiro Matex Co. Ltd Group, Katmex focuses on providing steel processed parts and fabricated Parts for medium to heavy industry.

Capacity to process 3000 ton of steel plate monthly using latest technology gas plasma and laser cutting equipment, supported by additional processing operations such as bending machinery, chamfering, rolling and the capability of producing fabricated assemblies.

Katsushiro Matex corporation (Katmex Europe). Specialise in supplying the heavy earthmoving and construction machine manufacturers around the world.

We supply laser, plasma and oxy-fuel profiles with additional processes including machining and bending. These parts are also fabricated together when required, mostly for use in the construction of 360 degree excavators, dump trucks, backhoe loaders, loading shovels, fork lifts and cranes. These products are generally termed yellow goods

Katsuhiro Matex have their head office in Kyoto Japan, and are recognised as a global company, having satellite plants in America, China, Indonesia, Mexico, Thailand, United Kingdom and now the latest in Vietnam.

Katmex represents Katsushiro Matex in Europe. Based in the North East of the United Kingdom, close to Newcastle. We have a manufacturing plant and a separate storage and logistics facility. This enables Katmex to supply to the United Kingdom and Europe with parts made in the UK or manufactured by one of our sister companies and distributed in Europe.

Initially set up in 1999 supplying Komatsu UK. Katmex are now supplying additional manufacturers in the UK and Europe. Our Storage and logistics facility has capacity for ‘Just in Time’ and ‘Kanaban’ distribution, this gives our customers a cost effective solution for parts and supplies.
