Processing of cut parts to satisfy customers needs and requirements

Machining, Bending, Chamfering and Rolling
The secondary section makes Katmex unique from most steel processing competitors. We not only have cutting capabilities, but also full facilities for forming weld preparations, and full machining capacity for additional operations such as high toleranced bores, machined faces and thread forming. Also our fabrication department combines all of the above into a finished part ready for final assembly.

Chamfering
Plate edge chamfer equipment capable of double edge weld preparation.

CNC Machinery
Seven CNC machining centres with capacity up to 3.5 by 2.2 metres working area.

2 x Tanaka gas cutting machines
Bed size 30m x 8m with up to 20 cutting torches in each machine.

Bending
3 x Press Brake, up to 600 tonnes capacity with 3.1m bed length.

Rolling
2 x Rolling machines up to 2.5 metres width and 32mm thick plate.
